Kawkab Al-Thaibani (@Kawkab) is a peace activist, women’s rights defender, and gender and communication expert in Yemen and the Middle East. Kawkab has led global and national strategies as well as research and analysis on economic empowerment, advocacy, gender, peace and security, and the Sustainable Development Goals, working with international organizations including UNDP and UN Women.

Active community activist on women's and peace issues. Abha is a member of the She4Soceity initiative and head of the empowerment unit. President of Al-Amal Cultural and Social Feminist Foundation. She was one of the mediators who succeeded in resolving national conflicts such as the opening of roads and the opening of Al-Mukala Airport.

Abha founded the "Together4Her" network, the first network against gender-based violence.

A consultant with the Social Fund for Development (SFD) and others LNGOs and INGOs, a coordinator for 3 of ADRA projects during 2013 - 2018 in both Mairb and Al-Jawf Governorates, and worked with USAID, CLP project for two years as a program coordinator, has also participated as a member of the Community Conflict Management Program with Partners Yemen,
Worked as a trainer and member of the Community Committee for the Management of Development Conflicts in the governorates of (Al-Jawf - Marib - Shabwa - Al-Bayda) and advisor to the youth team to support mediation in Al-Jawf and Marib. He is currently working as a Community Engagement Officer at (CIVIC) Org, and specialized in the Protection of Civilians field in both Marib and Al-Jawf governorates.
